Her Father And Her Grandfather Were Sailors

I painted these two men inspired by two vintage photographies of the same unknown man at different ages I found on an old box. Unfortunately I don’t know almost anything of this young Italian sailor because he’s not a relative of mine, but I think that that photos were shot in the early XX century. I drawed the two men in chiaroscuro first, then I painted them with watercolours, as once photographer did to colour black and white photographies.
