Inspired by plants and nature, this painting plays with accumulations, overlays, transparencies. It is built with colours and graphics that oppose painted surfaces.
Rinceaux, arabesques and interlaces here evoke the ornemental patterns of mural tapestries and carved lintels. On this large canvas, the patterns develop in an explosion of colours. The square, with its perfect symmetry, contains the swirling movement of leaves and brings back the necessary balance between tension and breathing.
